To a world covered nearly completely by oceans… Astronomical events are of quite an interest to its inhabitants, including the moon. This year, the moon is recorded hanging the lowest it has ever been recorded in the sky.

The sea is witnessed being pulled back dramatically from the shores of The Cascades, creating a vast rocky coast like never seen before in this strange low tide. Eerily, Tatsukoi are able to walk out to the sea bed and scavenge for shells, corals, and even creatures. Then, with a week's passing, the high tide rolls in and the ocean rapidly floods the shores of the first layer of the cascades. This sudden swell of ocean brings storm surges that damage the homes and towns below as well as gigantic waves that crash ominously in the distance like an omen. Come another week and the sea calms and recedes back out, and the cycle continues, week by week.

These tidal shifts shake all the way up to the very top of The Cascades! From the hurricane-like winds sweeping the Basin, to flood-induced cave-ins in the Caverns, even Elysium is experiencing strange phenomena such as lightning storms and strikes! Experts have predicted that this waxing and waning of the tides will last roughly 60 days, and lessen over time as the moon retreats back to its normal orbit.

Strangely though, Tatsukoi residents have been reporting seeing strange red stones in the midst of this chaos… Thankfully, our resident merchant in all oddities, Klaus, is on the case!

My break has been going well as well! Truthfully, I have still been working on some Tatsukoi stuff though BAHAHA, but i'm still not working nearly as much as I had been. (Mostly just checking prompts, working on designs, and writing news posts!) I'm slowly easing back into work on the site, though I wouldn't consider myself fully out of my break just yet! I am hoping to return within the next few months though! I should definitely be back officially in some capacity before the end of the year at the very latest.
