Profile O-0145: Oberon 🌙

Oberon serves as the current captain of Duskmoor's Royal Guard, dedicating his life to the city and its royal family. His unwavering commitment is a promise to safeguard both for as long as he lives.

Many find Oberon intimidating, stoic, and serious; he rarely reveals a softer side. However, that gentler side does exist. He cares deeply for the guardforce and the royal family, readily noticing when someone is feeling off. In such instances, he goes to great lengths to help, offering a listening ear if nothing else. Those who interact with him frequently understand that beneath his menacing exterior lies a genuine and kind soul, desiring the safety and well-being of those around him.

Oberon was born in Aurelion, a cousin to the current queen of Third Haven. From a young age, he aspired to join Duskmoor's guard force, inspired by the captain there whom he admired. Believing he couldn't join that force, he resolved to enlist in Aurelion's guard instead. To his surprise, upon recruitment, he was informed of his transfer to Duskmoor's Royal Guard, where he would train under the Royal Guard Captain.

Aurelion's captain, aware of Oberon's true aspirations, had contacted Duskmoor's captain to make Oberon's dreams a reality. The aging Duskmoor captain, recognizing Oberon's dedication, agreed, knowing he needed to pass on his responsibilities to someone equally committed. Oberon was overjoyed, and to this day, he visits Aurelion to express gratitude to the captain over drinks.

Outside of his duties, Oberon enjoys winemaking, cooking, and occasional hunting with Io. During his free time, he mentors aspiring Tatsukoi, helping them prepare for a potential future in the guard.

Io is Oberon's Shrimpurr! She accompanies him on the job as well, mostly acting as a messenger! She brings orders to the guards when Oberon is too busy to.
