Ryze is a Tatsukoi hailing from the second layer. His younger life was dificult, as he had always struggled to fit in with other Tatsukoi his age. They mocked him for his unusual personality, and for his appearance, claiming that his eyes looked dead and he looked creepy. He felt like something was wrong with him, after all, that's all any of his peers ever told him.

After a hard day out though, he always had one supporter back home, his grandfather, the man raising him. His grandfather had always had a hobby in playing the guitar, and when Ryze came home feeling upset, his grandfather would always play a little something to lift his spirits. He took comfort in his grandfather's music, and wanted to provide that same comfort to those who feel the way he does. One night, Ryze asked his grandfather to teach him to play, and his life was never the same since.

Nowadays, Ryze makes music for people who feel like they're offputting, weird, or freaks, instead asking them to rejoice in what makes them different. To rejoice in what makes them who they are.
