Somewhere in the forests of the third layer is Lethor, a small town built on a set of old ruins. From whom these ruins originate is lost to time, but the current settlement is a great resting spot for travelers making their way through the falls. Somehow there always seems to be a Tatsukoi stoking the flames of the fire pit in the plaza, waiting for someone to join them and exchange stories.
The most popular story seems to be about the mysterious fog that surrounds the outskirts of this small town around midnight. Adults warn young children not to wander too far out, as there have been rumors of spirits and creatures whisking them away. Many don't believe this fairytale, but there are some that live here who have dedicated their life getting to the bottom of this mystery.
The architecture is primarily semi-restored temples from the ruins that this town calls home, with various moss and lichen covering most of the stonework of the area. Not all of the buildings that make up this town are remnants of the past, some of them were built upon the towns foundation and others added later. One of these buildings near the center of town is a large tavern, offering a quiet respite for weary travelers.
Some travelers will stop back in Lethor on their way back down the falls many years later and make note that the same older couple that runs the tavern are still there, welcoming anyone in their open arms. The townsfolk seem to agree that the couple have always been there as long as they can remember. Some saying that they're the ancestors of the founders, and others believe that they could be the founders themselves testing time all these years.. but no one truly knows.
